1. Place the balance on a solid, horizontal support that is well-isolated from external vibration.

2. Select a bright, dry location that is not exposed to direct sunlight.

3. Choose a location where the temperature changes minimally. Be cautious of moths, lamps, and drafts.  

   (To adjust the level, turn the leveling feet/wheels on the bottom of the balance left and right until the bubble in the spirit level is centered within the circle.)
